Manifesto
The Surface of a New Time
NxEra is an independent art gallery based in New York, founded with the belief that contemporary art must go beyond the visible—it must question, disturb, reveal, and connect.
We stand at the intersection of material and metaphor, presence and absence, local voices and global urgencies. Our focus is on artists who work across disciplines, weaving narrative, memory, and identity into layered forms—whether through fabric, sound, text, paint, or digital media.
At NxEra, we support:
• Poetic, tactile relationships with material
• Multi-dimensional works addressing gender, time, displacement, and perception
• Artists whose practices challenge conventions and provoke reflection
• Formats that blur the line between physical and digital presence
We don’t just exhibit artworks.
We curate encounters, questions, and tensions.
We believe that art is not static—it’s alive, and it moves with time.
Each exhibition at Nxera is not just a show—
It’s a rupture, a proposal, a bold gesture toward what art can become.
Because we are not only working with artists.
We are working with the future of art.
Mission
At NxEra Art Gallery, our mission is to champion experimental, poetic, and politically engaged contemporary art that challenges perception and redefines the relationship between artist, viewer, and space.
We aim to:
• Create a platform for emerging and mid-career artists working across disciplines and geographies.
• Provide curatorial and technical support to bold, boundary-pushing practices.
• Facilitate hybrid exhibition models—both online and offline—that invite deep engagement.
• Amplify underrepresented voices and narratives, especially those exploring identity, memory, and transformation.
NxEra operates not only as a gallery but as a curatorial force, hosting exhibitions, open calls, collaborations, and art-driven experiments that shape the cultural dialogue of tomorrow.
We are not here to follow trends.
We are here to create new artistic time zones.
Letter from the Founders
To those who shape, disrupt, and dream through art—
We founded NxEra out of a shared urgency: the need for a space where art is not confined by market trends, geography, or genre, but where it breathes, ruptures, and reclaims time.
NxEra is more than a gallery. It is a curatorial voice, a listening space, a dialogue. We envisioned a platform that supports artists who work in between disciplines—who speak with texture, silence, tension, and light. We sought to create a space where slowness is allowed, risk is welcomed, and transformation is inevitable.
Art, for us, is a form of thinking that moves through the body. It's a political gesture. A poetic refusal.
It can’t be boxed—it has to be experienced.
We believe in process, not product. In voices that shake. In work that doesn’t ask to be explained, but insists on being felt.
NxEra is our response to a fast world.
It is where we reclaim depth.
It is where we gather.
If you’re an artist who doesn’t fit neatly into categories,
If your work is raw, layered, and untranslatable
You are welcome here.
With urgency and care,
Kara & Ero
