Is a Visa Required?
If the exhibition is in a country that requires a visa, you may need one. For example, if the exhibition is taking place in New York, a US visa may be required.
The artist is responsible for applying for a visa and all other legal procedures.
Nxera Art Gallery does not guarantee a visa; however, it can provide an official invitation letter to artists who request it..
How Should I Ship My 2D Artwork?
You may ship your artwork as a rolled canvas or stretched/framed.
To reduce cost and minimize risk, sending it as a rolled canvas is recommended for international shipping..
Photography art has to be framed with glass (or equivalent material) for protection of the original art.
Do You Offer Canvas Stretching Services in NYC?
Yes. For artworks shipped as rolled canvas, we offer professional canvas stretching services in NYC for a small additional fee.
This service is not included for Photography arts.
Shipping 3D Artworks to New York (International Shipping)
1. Can I ship a 3D artwork to New York from another country?
Yes. Artists may ship 3D artworks—such as sculptures, objects, and installation components—to New York from outside the United States for participation in NxEra Art Gallery exhibitions.
2. Which shipping or courier company should I use?
Artists may choose their preferred international shipping provider.
Commonly used carriers include DHL, FedEx, UPS, and TNT.
For large-scale, heavy, or fragile works, we recommend using fine art logistics companies experienced in international art transport.
3. How should my artwork be packaged for international shipping?
The artwork must be professionally packed to withstand international transit.
Recommended materials include foam padding, bubble wrap, Styrofoam, and a rigid outer box or wooden crate.
All fragile elements must be securely fixed, and the package should be clearly labeled “FRAGILE / HANDLE WITH CARE.”
4. Are there special requirements for wooden crates?
Yes. Any wooden crate or wooden packing materials must be ISPM-15 certified and stamped, in compliance with international phytosanitary regulations.
5. What documents are required for customs clearance?
Typically, the following documents are required:
• Proforma Invoice
• Artwork title, dimensions, and materials
• Declared artwork value (for customs and insurance purposes)
• The statement “Original Artwork – Not for Commercial Sale”
NxEra Art Gallery can provide guidance if documentation support is required.
Who Covers the Shipping Costs, customs & duties?
All shipping costs, customs clearance fees, taxes, and any applicable duties, shortly all outbound and return shipping costs are the responsibility of the artist.
Artworks must be declared as non-commercial, exhibition-only items.
Nxera does not act as a shipping or customs agent, though we can offer guidance.
How Does Customs Processing Work?
Artists must follow the export/customs rules of their home country.
Any delays at U.S. customs are beyond Nxera’s control.
Declaring the artwork as “for exhibition purposes” is recommended.
For Red & White Exhibition: Is It Mandatory to Use Red & White?
No. The theme is conceptual; using these colors is optional.
Do Artists Need to Attend in Person?
No. Artists are not required to travel to New York.
Installation is managed by the Nxera team.
Do You Provide a Participation Certificate?
Yes. Every artist who participates in the exhibition receives an official participation certificate at the end of the show.
Can I participate in the exhibition with only physical or digital artwork, or can I participate with both?
Yes, you can participate with either physical or digital artwork, or with both. The submission process depends on the type of artwork you are submitting:
For physical artwork: Please use our Submission Form[Select one of the ‘Physical choices’ you desire].
For digital artwork: Please use our Submission Form [Select one of the ‘Digital choices’ you desire].
For both physical and digital work: You must submit both forms separately. Our curatorial team will combine your applications for review. Please use the same name, artworks, and contact information for both submissions so we can link them correctly.
Tell me about Venue(s) and Logistics?
The physical exhibition will take place in one of our carefully selected gallery spaces in Manhattan/New York, depending on the number of participants (in our Tribeca gallery for up to fifty artworks, and in our Chelsea gallery if there are more than fifty participants).
The gallery address, artwork delivery options, and technical details will be shared with participating artists after the registration process is complete.
