Ada Uygan

$0.00

Nxera Art Gallery is proud to introduce Ada Uygan for our exclusive exhibition.

Ada Uygan is an exceptional Turkish multidisciplinary artist and designer operating between Istanbul and Rome. Known for her research-driven and collaborative approach, Uygan partners with international art studios and academic institutions to transform cultural spaces through immersive exhibition design, live interactive multimedia installations, and deep theoretical exploration of spatial dynamics.

Deeply rooted in a fascination with how human experience bridges with technology, Uygan’s artistic process analyzes the boundaries between physical and virtual spaces. Her distinctive digital practice seamlessly merges emerging technologies with profound cultural heritage. By utilizing custom, motion-responsive software systems, she transforms traditional knowledge into living, fluid virtual environments that actively respond to human presence, bodily gestures, and collective observation.

While highly technological and data-informed, her installations ultimately command a deeply moving, sensory presence. Uygan’s groundbreaking works have been showcased in prominent cultural spaces across Europe—including standout exhibitions at Rome's RUFA Space and the MArteLive Biennale—capturing the hearts of global audiences.

At the center of this showcase is Traces on Water, a mesmerizing video fragment captured in real-time from her original interactive installation. The piece translates the fluid dynamics of Ebru—the traditional Anatolian art of paper marbling—into an active, evolving virtual ecosystem. Utilizing a deeply resonant color palette that mirrors the organic Anatolian landscape, Uygan approaches heritage not as a static historical artifact, but as a living, breathing condition that beautifully regenerates through computational media.

We invite you to experience Ada Uygan's mesmerizing, forward-thinking, and visually poetic artworks on her dedicated page.
