Surface - Current Selected (Selection is ongoing. New artists are being added.)
NxEra Art Gallery is delighted to introduce Aylin Eskinazi, an artist whose practice is defined by a sophisticated architectural sensibility and a deep understanding of material rhythm. Born in Izmir, Eskinazi’s journey through Economics at Bosphorus University and a distinguished career in the textile sector has gifted her a unique perspective on structure, pattern, and the tactile nature of the "surface."
Refining her vision under the mentorship of Yusuf Taktak at the Triangle Painting Atelier and exploring form through jewelry design with Mehmet Kabaş, Eskinazi occupies a space where logic meets lyricism. For the Surface Exhibition, her work explores the canvas as a woven narrative. Drawing from her extensive background in fashion and design management, she approaches the surface not as a flat plane, but as a construction of layers, tensions, and rhythmic repetitions.
Eskinazi’s compositions reflect a "design culture" that balances the precision of her academic roots with the fluid intuition of contemporary painting. Her transition from the structural world of textiles to the expressive freedom of the atelier allows her to navigate the Red & White spotlight with a voice that is both disciplined and profoundly tactile. We are honored to present her exploration of the physical and metaphorical surfaces of our modern world.
