Surface - Current Selected (Selection is ongoing. New artists are being added.)
Nxera Art Gallery is proud to introduce Chris Wasko (Krzysztof Waśko) for our exclusive Surface 2 exhibition.
Chris Wasko is a globally acclaimed contemporary painter based in Lakeland, Florida. Originally from Poland, he built a robust artistic presence in Chicago before relocating to Central Florida, where he remains a vital and prolific contributor to the arts scene.
Deeply rooted in a process of classical training and photographic studies, Wasko’s artwork centers around an ongoing exploration of traditional foundations reformulated into something urgent and current. His distinct creative process involves a highly recognizable visual language, defined by a palette of black, white, and vivid colors punctuated by confident, expressive brushstrokes. What remains on the canvas is a powerful combination of spontaneity and thoughtful composition that seeks to capture emotional depth and strong visual impact. While deeply original and process-driven, his paintings ultimately invite viewers to discover their own unique stories within each piece.
Wasko’s works have been showcased in extensive solo and group exhibitions internationally and are held in prestigious public institutions worldwide, including the permanent collection of the Chicago History Museum.
We invite you to experience Chris Wasko's deeply moving and visually striking artworks at our upcoming exhibition.
